Managing Your Manager
Course level

This course is aimed at any individual who would like to be able to influence upwards more effectively.
Overview
Our manager is one of the key figures in our working life. They have a critical impact on our day-to-day life as well as our longer-term careers. Given this, how can we make our manager be a better manager for us? Our perspective at “the coal-face” often gives us insights into how things can be done better, which can be valuable information for steering successful management decisions. We need to be able to communicate that information upwards in terms that can be easily bought into. And from the manager’s perspective, too, this can be very valuable because it improves their team member’s communication skills and understanding of the management and team goals. This programme answers the question “How can we influence upwards for the benefit of ourselves, our team, our manager and our company?”
