Overview
You will review the subject area from a practical and commercial perspective with detailed reference to relevant statutory provisions and case law.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- List the criteria for presenting a bankruptcy petition
- Recognise the importance of the statutory demand procedure and what do you do when your client receives one
- Identify the procedure for serving and receiving a petition and the effect of presenting a petition
- Evaluate when a validation order is required
- Identify the consequences of the petition and an order
- Detail the costs implications of a petition
- Describe the procedure for getting and annulling an order
