This course will be of benefit to all recently qualified solicitors. All solicitors must take Management Course Stage One between their date of admission and the end of their third CPD year.

Overview

This highly interactive workshop provides grounding in some of the key areas of law firm management and will inspire recently qualified solicitors to take a real interest in the way firms are managed for future success.

Topics covered on this course will include

• Managing law firm finance – what are the key issues affecting the profitability of a law firm, what financial information do fee earners need and how should they use it?
• Client care and marketing
• Managing people: creating effective teams, motivating staff, delegating effectively, and supervising efficiently

The book "Solicitors' Guide to Good Management, 2nd Edition" is also provided. This course is worth 7 CPD points; comprising 6 hours of teaching and 1 hour of pre-course work.
