Overview

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) became law in the UK on 25 May as the Data Protection Act 2018 and included the need for increased levels of accountability and transparency together with enhanced data subject rights.

This comprehensive, specialised and interactive training day will examine the current legal environment, what we have learnt one year on and how data protection compliance relates to contract and information management, cyber-security and data hygiene.

The course adopts a practical approach with an emphasis on common-sense steps that can be taken to ensure compliance with the data protection legislation within a commercial and legal context. This practical course will use power-point free training techniques and encourages participatory learning through scenarios, quizs and discussions.
