Aimed at accountants moving into a group role or who feel they need a refresher. Others working in an accounting environment would also benefit from learning about consolidation processes. This course will cover both IFRS and UK GAAP consolidations.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamentals of the production of consolidated financial statements.

Whilst a basic understanding of accounting is required, no knowledge or recollection of group accounting is needed, as the course will begin from first principles. The course allows time throughout the day for delegates to practise what they are learning by doing exercises based on consolidation schedules and the adjustments required.

More advanced group aspects are covered in Group Accounting – Advanced.
