CPD Requirements - IAT

IAT LogoCPD is a process of constant learning, undertaken to learn new skills, and to update existing ones. By continuing to learn and expand your skills, you can make sure that you are effective and successful in your career.

If you are registered on the IAT scheme for self-employed members, or a fellow member elected since January 2020, CPD is mandatory for you. Members are expected to complete at least 60 hours of professional development training over two years a minimum of 30 hours in a single year except:

  • Registered self-employed members at least 30 hours over two years, with a minimum of 10 in any single year
  • Self-employed Reporting Accountants at least 70 hours over two years, with a minimum of 20 in a single year and 5 on limited company aspects of company accounts
